Residential – New Service

Documents needed:

  • Lease contract or deed
  • Social Security Card
  • Driver’s license
  • Account number previous tenant or meter number.

A deposit ranging from $125.00 to $200.00, depending on area, is required.
Connection of a new service may take up to 3 working days.

Commercial – New Service

  • Lease contract or deed
  • User Permit from ARPE (www.sip.pr.gov/web/guest/ciudadano/permisos)*
  • Inspection from a Master Electrician if space did not have service for a year or more
  • Certificate of Incorporation Puerto Rico Department of State
  • Federal EIN – Treasury Department
  • Corporate resolution or letter granting power to representative to sign contract
  • Identification of corporate representative

A deposit from $500.00 up (depending on type of business and space) is required.
Connection of a new service may take up to 3 working days.
